I got up at 3:45 this morning with this thought buzzing in my head: "Go ask someone who reads your blog to help you." I don't know if it was God or the chili I ate (for a guy who writes books about this stuff, I'm remarkably hard of spiritual hearing). But one gift I do have, I try to obey these random thoughts just on the off chance they are God. So here I am, bleary-eyed typing these words.

God has given me a tool for building the Kingdom that is succeeding beyond my wildest dreams. It's called the World Race (www.theworldrace.org/) and it's all I can do to keep this year's teams going while responding to all the people who want to be involved next year. Serena and I can't keep up with the opportunity, and rather than work more hours, I think I'm supposed to share it with someone.
So if you have several hours a week that you could volunteer or know of someone else who could help, let me know, and I'll put you to work building the Kingdom.

If that sounds grandiose, let me explain my perspective: We pray "Thy kingdom come," but do we mean it? Jesus talked incessantly about the Kingdom of God; what was he talking about?

Building the Kingdom has to do with establishing God's dominion in a person's life - taking back territory one life at a time. Part of what Jesus was talking about is what D.L. Moody described as a "passion for souls." People are floundering in the ocean of life; Moody saw his job as pulling as many of them into the lifeboat he was in as possible. Most people are more concerned with enjoying their boat ride thru life than they are with the Kingdom.

Some of us have huge Kingdom-building opportunities before us that look impossible, and we just need to wake up early in the morning and ask somebody for help.
